We require candidates with a proven track record in either corporate, trusts, banking, funds, commercial or litigation matters.

Quality and Reputation

Quality is at the forefront of Ozannes strategy.  We have developed a team of experienced lawyers in Guernsey, many with City of London experience, to undertake the complex and sophisticated instructions demanded by our clients.  Our aim is to develop a similar team in Jersey.

Ozannes has a significant blue chip international client base offering an excellent opportunity for a corporate lawyer to develop his/her practice.

Ozannes are ranked in the top tier of offshore lawyers by Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500.  Ozannes has also regularly featured in the Fitzrovia International Plc’s Guernsey fund surveys as a leading legal adviser to Guernsey investment funds and is a leading sponsor of listings on the CISX.

Many individuals at Ozannes are regularly recommended in third party publications for their expertise in particular specialist practice areas.

Areas of Expertise

Ozannes’ Corporate has expertise in dealing with all forms of corporate, international financing and investment transactions and their realisation; in particular, general corporate/commercial work, mutual funds, banking, finance, protected cell companies, the creation, migration or amalgamation of companies and the establishment of employee benefit schemes.

Ozannes’ Litigation has the strongest litigation team in Guernsey and is involved in the majority of the leading cases in the island.  It deals with all manner of commercial and civil litigation, criminal law, employment, family, insolvency, personal injury and professional negligence matters.

Ozannes’ Trusts advise on all trust matters including commercial and securitisation vehicles; pensions; tax planning; trust establishment and maintenance; trustee and beneficiary disputes; retirement annuity and charitable trusts. Ozannes is frequently involved in contentious trust issues since the establishment of the Guernsey trust law in 1989 and is led by St John Robilliard, a leading trust lawyer, who has extensive experience in both Guernsey and Jersey on trust and tax related matters.

Work / Life balance

This is an ideal opportunity for motivated, ambitious lawyers to help establish Ozannes new practice areas in Jersey with the aim of replicating the high standards of legal excellence that form the core values of the Guernsey practice.

It also offers the opportunity to live and work in a well-regulated, first-class, offshore jurisdiction that provides a high quality work/life balance for individuals and their families, has close professional and travel links with London, and the scope for excellent career progression.
